The Osun State University Alumni Association made history yesterday with the successful hosting of the first pre-inauguration meeting of its Osun Branch. The meeting, which drew over 30 enthusiastic members, marked a significant step toward solidifying the presence of the association within the state.
Key outcomes of the meeting included the election of interim officers to lead the branch’s initial activities. The elected officials are:
- Mr. Adetunji Idris, Acting Branch Chairman
- Mr. Muritala Abdulateef, Acting Secretary
- Miss Salami Kadijat, Public Relations Officer (PRO)
The gathering reflected the members’ shared commitment to the association’s growth and development. Speaking on the milestone, the association’s leadership expressed optimism about the branch’s potential to foster stronger alumni connections and contribute to the broader goals of the organization.
“This is indeed a new dawn in the history of our association,” remarked the association’s President, Abubakar Abdulbasit Olalekan.
